Throttle Wide Open

March 27, 2008

Copy of Josh Turner A HUGE apology is on its way to Lisa Perkins in Johnson City. Before I left for Easter vacation, Lisa had sent me these great pictures she took at House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, when she went to the Throttle Wide Open show with Luke Bryan, Bucky Covington, and Dierks Bentley. Before leaving town, I got a quick note off to Lisa to thank her for the photos, and told her I would use them in a post when I got home. Needless to say, I neglected to do so. They are great pictures, so I really do need to share them with all of you. Here they are in the order they took the stage that night. Opening up with Luke Bryan, on the left.

BCovington Bucky Covington was second on stage, and we’ll let Lisa tell you about that one! She’s a really huge Bucky fan! Here’s what Lisa wrote: “Next up was Bucky Covington!!! Of course, I am a big Bucky fan, to say the very least, this was my sixth show….and he keeps getting better! His new band rocked and of course, his twin brother Rocky is a member of his band and plays percussions! I have loved Bucky ever since I saw him on AI, and I hope he is around for many years to come! He indicated his next sing might be “I’ll Walk” from his debut album! I encourage anyone who has not taken the time to listen to his CD to do so, it is definitely worth the money! Of course, I cannot wait till my next Bucky show!”

DBently Since Lisa is doing so well with the commentary here — let’s see what she had to say about Dierks: “Then finally up was Dierks Bentley, his set was long, of course he has had lots of songs on the radio, so one could expect a lot from him! He rocked out the crowd and they seemed to enjoy his portion of the show. This was my third time to see Dierks, he keeps having great opening artists, so that is a plus for me, especially Bucky!

Thanks again to my new friend, Lisa, for sharing these photos with me … and with you. And, thanks too, to Winnie at Buckymania, who has been a great help in directing people to my blog, and with sharing info and pictures of Bucky. You guys are great!

Talk to you all again tomorrow.
