John Rich, who just finished up his reality television show for CMT, is pictured here with his partner, Big Kenny. The photos were taken at Freedom Hall in Johnson City. It was the Chevy Presents … The American Revolution Tour.

Looks like John isn’t done with Reality television quite yet either. He and Big Kenny will be the first “judge/mentor” on the next season of “Nashville Star”. It is being reported that Nashville Star will move from USA network to NBC, and will be part of the early Summer lineup. Tuesday March 18, they will be in Houston, Texas – and are then open until April 4, when they will be at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Gretchen Wilson‘s web page is telling us that the entertainer recently performed with Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider, Staind’s Aaron Lewis and others, at a fund raiser. The benefit raised $175,000 for the survivors of the nightclub fire that occurred during a performance by the 80s rock band, Great White in 2003.

The event took place at a Dunkin Donuts near the scene of the fire in Rhode Island. It will be aired on VH1 on Easter Sunday. The proceeds will go to the Station Family Fund, which was created to help pay survivor’s medical bills.

You can always count on your country entertainers to join in wherever help is needed.

Gretchen is currently in Canada, and as I mentioned in an earlier blog – she will be at Herrah’s Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, N.C. on April 18 and 19. Thanks again to Brittany Johnson for the photos on today’s blog!

Thanks so much for your update on the Station Family Fire benefit–all music fans can really feel for the families who were affected by this tragedy, and it’s so wonderful to know that Gretchen and other country notables were able to lend a hand! Great photos, too. 🙂

Thanks for your comment, Winnie. So glad to hear you’re enjoying Country’s Chatter… You know I’m at Buckymania every day, too. And, I’ll be sure to pass your “great photos” comment on to the photographer, Brittany Johnson, from Johnson City. She’s a good friend, and a very good photographer!
